About Personal Training

Whether you are a new member looking to kick start your fitness program, or a long-time fitness fanatic, you will find a personal trainer is the perfect addition to your gym experience. Our personal trainers offer you Private Training (1 on 1), buddy training (2 people – Chicago Heights only), Small Group Training (2 – 4 people), and Team Training (6+ people).

Personal Training is a service that involves hiring a fitness professional to help you achieve your health and fitness goals in a one-on-one setting. Your workout program is completely personalized to you and will include a combination of strength training, cardiovascular exercises, flexibility, and other exercises depending on what your goals are.
Semi-Private Personal Training is a service that involves hiring a fitness professional to help you and another individual achieve your health and fitness goals in a one-on-two setting. Your workout program is individualized and catered to both client’s goals. The workout program will typically include a combination of strength training, cardiovascular exercises, flexibility, and other exercises. Semi-Private clients must be prearranged. We do not have a waiting list for partners.

We offer several types of Personal Training, so you can choose which type fits you best!

Medically Suggested

If your physician has instructed you to begin an exercise program due to specific injuries or medical conditions, our personal trainers can help guide you through a safe and effective exercise program that will get you on the road to recovery.

Sports Specific

Sports Specific

Is there a specific sport that you play? Whether you play for fun or you are a serious athlete, our personal trainers are qualified to design a program that will heighten and improve your skills through sport specific conditioning.

Aqua

Aqua

Exercise in the water can be one of the best forms of exercise. It provides a safe environment to effectively work out every muscle in the body without placing stress on ligaments and joints. Aquatic exercise is highly effective for people with medical issues that provide challenges to more common exercise modalities, as well as for the fit individual looking for an enjoyable, yet demanding form of exercise to add to their fitness regime.

Myzone

Myzone

The Myzone® belt accurately monitors your heart rate to determine effort exerted and caloric burn. While wearing the Myzone® belt during your session, your information will be streamed to screens within the fitness center – enabling our trainers to hold you accountable during your training.

Fitness Assessment

Fitness Assessment

A Fitness Assessment consists of health history, physical activity history, current nutrition, resting measurements, circumference measurements, body composition analysis, static balance evaluation, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular fitness, and flexibility. The information accrued from the assessment is then interpreted by an exercise professional and is used to educate the individual about their current physical fitness status and for the development of their short-term and long-term goals. The information is also used to form the basis for the individuals’ exercise program if they choose to train.

Spin, Aquatics, Pilates, just to name a few.
