About Weight Loss

Sometimes, the hardest part about losing weight can be knowing where to start. Our coaching and support staff work with you every step of the way to achieve your weight loss goals. We aim for balance and long term success, working with each member privately to tailor a nutrition and exercise program that will work specifically for you.

 

Highlights

  • Assessment

    All new members are offered a free assessment with one of our exercise specialists. Our specialists determine a baseline for future goals by taking your measurements. Based on your information, your specialist will help you decide which type of training best fits your personal goals. These assessments are non-invasive, non strenuous, and only take about 35 - 50 minutes to complete. A reassessment is recommended every 3 months. To schedule your assessment, simply contact our Fitness Department to get started.

  • MyPlate

    MyPlate is a tool that can be utilized to help you on your healthy living journey. By using this tool, you can focus on making healthy food and beverage choices from all five food groups. Plus you’ll gain a better understanding of how many calories you need based on your age, sex, height, weight, and level of activity. Consistent use of the tool will help you create a healthier eating style and lower your risk of disease such as diabetes and heart disease.

  • Certified Fitness Professionals (CFP)

    Our CFPs at Franciscan are trained to help you address the behaviors that have kept you from eating right, staying active and making your health a priority. They can also help you with other issues, including inactivity and stress. CFPs give you the tools you’ll need to overcome any challenges to achieving improved health and well-being.

  • Nutritional Education

    Eating right is integral for optimal health and weight loss. Take advantage of one of our Nutrition Education classes and get away from fad diets. Foods have a powerful effect on the mind and body. By making simple changes to your diet; you can feel better and lose weight.

  • Training Options

    Franciscan Health Fitness Center offers many different training options to fit your needs. From one on one sessions with our personal trainers, to group fitness classes, you can find the workout method that is best for you.
