Dear Valued Members,

We appreciate your continued support and cooperation as we all work together to overcome the stronghold of the COVID-19 pandemic. As always, your safety is our top priority.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic increase in cases and recent “red” designation for Lake County, the Lake County Health Department has issued a public health order. Effective Monday, November 30, 2020 until further notice, the order specifically states the following pertaining to our fitness and health industry:

  • 11.   Gyms, fitness centers, yoga and dance studios, martial arts studios, and like facilities may remain open but must restrict capacity to 25%. The following additional requirements apply:
    • a.     Classes must be restricted to 25% of their normal size, or to the class size necessary to ensure distancing of at least 10 feet among all participants, whichever number is less.
    • b.     Air ventilation should be increased to maximum capacity.
    • c.     Equipment must be cleaned after each use.
    • d.     Locker rooms and shower rooms may remain open, subject to the overall 25% capacity limitation; and all employees must be screened daily.

Here are the actions being implemented to comply with the recent LCHD public health order:

  • Capacities will be limited once again to 200 members in Schererville (100 members in Chesterton) – this will ensure overall club capacity remains 25% or under as directed.
    • Members will be asked to stop by the Service Desk and check-out before leaving.
      • If you are concerned, we encourage you to call ahead to check current capacity prior to arrival.     Schererville 219.865.6969 (Chesterton: 219.983.9832)
  • Class capacities will be reduced to 25% of normal class capacity, with 10’ of social distancing.
    • This includes our group exercise studios, pool, Team Training and Parisi.
  • We ask members to be mindful of workout durations to ensure accessibility for all members.
  • To ensure proper social distancing is maintained, the basketball courts will be closed at this time.

As a reminder, we will continue to implement the following:

    • The requirement of members to be masked at all times and in all areas while in the club - pools and whirlpools are the only exceptions.
    • Air handlers have been adjusted to allow for the maximum volume of clean air exchange.
    • Social distancing at a minimum of 6’ is to be maintained at all times.
    • Employees continue to be screened daily.
    • Temperature checks remain in place for all who enter.
    • Steam rooms and saunas remain closed.
    • Whirlpools remain open to single users.
    • Locker room capacity is limited to 25%.
    • Members are expected to wipe down all equipment used after use.
    • Staff additional disinfectors to clean high touch areas and equipment.

Group Exercise Details

IMPORTANT: Because our classes will resume with limited capacities, we are asking for participants to pre-register online via You can pre-register up to 48 hours in advance. Same day registration is also an option, if space is available.

Prior to coming to the Club

Q. What hours will the club be open?

         A. Effective July 5th at 7am the club hours are as follows: Mon.-Thurs. 5am-9pm; Fri. 5am-7pm; Sat. & Sun. 7am-5pm. Usage will be closely monitored and hours are subject to change.

Q. How do I find out what the club capacity is prior to arrival?

         A. In Phase Three club capacities have been lifted and there is no limit to the number allowed in the facilities but social distancing will be maintained.

Q. Will I be screened upon arrival?

         A. Yes, upon check in at the Service Desk everyone will be subject to a touchless temperature check.

Q. Can I Bring a guest?

         A. Guests are allowed at this time.  However members are limited to one guest and all guests must be 18 years of age and older.

Q. Do I have to wear a mask at the fitness center?

         A. Staff are still required to wear masks and we require members to wear them when they are not engaged in exercise.

Q. Will locker rooms be open upon re-opening?

         A. Locker rooms are open with limited availability.  Social distancing must be maintained therefore the Steam Rooms, Saunas and Whirlpools are currently open with restrictions.

Q. Will pools be available upon re-opening? 

         A. Pools are open with a limited capacity.  Current allowed capacities are posted in each pool area.

Cleaning, Sanitation and Social Distancing Precautions Upon Re-opening

Q. How can I be assured that I will not contract COVID during my visit?

         A. Sadly, we cannot guarantee that you are 100% safe from contracting the COVID-19 virus. We have taken every step possible to do our part and ask members to do their part by adhering to social distancing and cleaning equipment before and after use.

Q. What measures are in place to keep members safe? 

         A. We have added several cleaning regimens and are reducing touch points. A few of these precautions include: 

               • Touchless check-in

               • Temperature checks in place for staff, members and guests

               • All seating areas spaced for social distancing

               • Equipment spaced for social distancing

               • Tracks are open with physical distancing


Q. When can I take live Group Exercise Classes?

         A. Live classes are currently being offered in a limited capacity.  Members are required to reserve their spot in class and can do so up to 48 hours in advance by registering via or by calling the Fitness Desk.  Class offerings will increase as usage indicates.

Q. Personal Training

         A. Private and Semi-private training are available as normal and team training will continue in a limited capacity ensuring social distance.  Class offerings will increase as usage indicates.

Q. What services are closed upon re-opening? 

         A. With the exception of the Parisi Speed School; youth programming is not being offered at this time.  Tentatively, we are looking to resume youth services but that is still to be determined.


Q.  When will my billing kick back in? 

         A. Membership billing resumed on June 1st, unless you made arrangements to put your membership on hold.
