Last Updated 8.23.21

Dear Valued Member,

In order to keep the safety of our members and staff at the highest level, based on the recent mask mandate announced by county officials [view here] Franciscan Health Fitness Centers Chicago Heights will be implementing the following:

What's New
  • Masks will be required by EVERYONE entering the club

What Remains the Same
  • Unvaccinated persons (not fully vaccinated) must wear a face covering
  • Physical Therapy: all employees and patients are required to wear a mask and social distance, regardless of vaccination status to comply with requirements for health care settings
  • Persons who are immunocompromised should consider wearing a face covering in settings where others may not be fully vaccinated
  • Saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools are open. Only 2 members are allowed in the whirlpool, sauna or steam room at one time and they must observe a 10 minute time limit
  • Employees will remain masked at all times, regardless of their vaccination status
  • 6 feet of social distance is to be maintained at all times
  • Kid Zone remains closed
  • Advance registration is still required for all group exercise classes
  • Temperature screening upon check-in is still required for non-vaccinated individuals, physical therapy patients and guests
  • Extra sanitizing stations remain in place
  • As always, members are expected to wipe down equipment before and after use

Please find comfort in knowing we continue to make decisions based on sound data provided by local and state officials, with added guidance from our expert infectious disease doctors at Franciscan Health. Stay up to date with our COVID-19 procedures on our website.

Thank you for your continued commitment to your health at our Fitness Centers. Your ability to remain healthy and fight disease has never been more important. We will keep you updated as more data becomes available.
