Staff and members continue to have temperatures taken. Temperatures of 100.0 or higher not being allowed access to the gym. Face masks are still required for all staff across all locations. Chicago Heights are requiring members and guests to wear a mask at all times, except while working out. While Chesterton and Schererville recommend members and guests wear masks while in the Fitness Centers, but not recommended while working out.
All three of our locations are offering Group Exercise classes and Personal Training, in limited capacities. See each club location for specific details.

As always, cleaning and sanitizing is a primary focus and the detailed re-open plans include members having a part to play in keeping the Fitness Center environment safe. Fill stations have replaced water fountains and bottled water is also for sale.
“As medically based Fitness Centers, we have the benefit of our Franciscan Alliance healthcare experts, which includes a team of infectious disease doctors, who have guided, vetted and support our re-opening regimen. In addition, we adhere closely to the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the States of Indiana and Illinois,” states a welcome back letter sent to all Members in the last several weeks.
As a reminder, we’ve always used hospital-grade cleaning products on our equipment and surfaces and will continue to do so. The primary product we use throughout the Fitness Centers is categorized as a heavy-duty sanitizer/virucide cleaner that destroys viruses. While members have been away, our staff has been working to disinfect every inch of our clubs ensuring a clean environment upon reopening.
As COVID-19 is an evolving situation, Franciscan Health Fitness Centers will continue work with local and state public health agencies should additional measures need to be taken. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to our staff. Safety is always paramount in the protection of our members, visitors and staff.
